Mahatma Gandhi
Mahatma Gandhi was born on 2nd October, 1869, in Porbandar, Gujarat, India to the proud parents Karamchand and Putliba Gandhi. Mahatma Gandhi was the youngest son of the couple. Father of Mahatma Gandhi was a Diwan of the Royal court of Porbandar. The name given to Mahatma Gandhi by his parents was Mohandas. From the early childhood he was taught the lessons of honesty and truthfulness. At the age of 13 he was married with Kasturba. After finishing his primary education in India Gandhi ji went to London for the higher studies. He came back to India after obtaining a degree in law in the year 1891. In the year 1893 he went to South Africa on a contract to do some legal work.
