Ship Modeling - Free Moving Models
These models are the mostly made models in the ship modeling as the sailboats require the wind assistance for its movement but the ships are not depended on the wind power for their movement since they are equipped with the power of the electric motors, diesel engines or the glow plug engines. The motor or the engines are connected to the water impellers which are generally provided with the kits if you are constructing the model using the commercial kit otherwise it is available in the hobby stores. The medium of construction is either wood or plastic or fiberglass.
After the model is given final shape and colored, it is ready to sail in the water. Switch on the power and place the model in the pond or lake tilting the rudder slightly so that the ship moves in large circles.
